    Mit den Verkehrsangeboten der RE27 Bergen auf Rügen - Sassnitz Fährhafen ist beabsichtigt, aktuelle Ostseefährverkehre im Fährhafen Sassnitz/Mukran von/nach Bornholm (Bornholmslinjen der Reederei Molslinien A/S) an den Schienenpersonennahverkehr (SPNV) anzubinden. In den Jahren 2025 bis 2027 werden an ausgewählten Verkehrstagen im grundsätzlichen Zeitraum zwischen Mai und Oktober jedes Jahres jeweils zwei Hin- und Rückfahrten auf der Linie abgestimmt auf Anschlussverbindungen mit Nah- und Fernverkehrszügen angeboten. Der Leistungsumfang auf der Linie RE27 beträgt im Saisonzeitraum jedes Jahres ca. 3.000 Zugkm. Jährliche Anpassungen an veränderte Fährlinien/Fährfahrpläne bleibt vorbehalten.
