Gegenstand dieser Vergabe sind Verkehrsdienstleistungen im SPNV im Zuständigkeitsbereich des SPNV-Aufgabenträgers auf der Basis eines Bruttoverkehrsvertrages für die ‚Erftbahn‘ (RB 38) ab dem internationalen Fahrplanwechsel im Dezember 2025, voraussichtlich am 14.12.2025. Der Verkehrsvertrag hat eine Kernlaufzeit von 8 Jahren, beginnend vom 14.12.2025 bis zum 10.12.2033. Zudem besteht die Möglichkeit den Verkehrsvertrag zweimal um je ein Jahr zu verlängern, wodurch auch ein Vertragsende zum internationalen Fahrplanwechsel im Dezember 2034 (vsl. am 09.12.2034) oder 2035 (vsl. am 08.12.2035) möglich ist. Die ‚Erftbahn‘ (RB 38) hat folgenden Streckenverlauf: Köln Messe/Deutz – Köln Hbf – Horrem – Bedburg (Erft). Das Leistungsvolumen beträgt ca. 0,6 Mio. Zkm pro Normjahr.
